Bitar Company has been established in Aleppo city in 1966 by Bitar family.
The beginning was merely based on a scientific basis with high techniques in Cotton industry. With the constant development of modern industries and the appearance of synthetic yarns as alternatives to traditional yarns represented by cotton and wool.
The company started its activities in manufacturing synthetic flat yarns. The company also steadily and consistently worked to produce the best yarns used in producing packing ropes and jute bags, which appeared as alternative to the cotton bags that were internationally common at the time.
The company continued its industrial activity and development, and as a result of exhausting work, the company managed to prove its abilities in manufacturing yarns alternative to the woolen spun yarns, and it became the pioneer and first manufacturer of multi combed fibers (filaments) used in carpets industry, relying on its originality and the long experience of its staff in producing such yarns, using the most modern methods and techniques to improve the production level to the top and using the machines fabricated by Neumag machines in Germany, which all resulted in awarding our company a Certificate of Appreciation due to its participation in improving the machines and their operation.
As a result of experience and widening the yarns field and requirements, SMB Syrian Company for Dyes has been established to produce Master Batch dyes by means of the German machines "Leistritz". Due to our experience in this field, we have managed to produce all colors with all shades in fiber, plastic and Rafia, which saved time, provided us with high quality and rendered the chance to the customers to select their required color.
Due to the industrial development in carpets industry and adopting polypropylene yarns as alternative to acrylic yarns, the company did its utmost to produce thermally fixed yarns by means of the most modern German Volkmann twisting machines, with the high quality French Superba Heat set machines, following the international quality standards regarding specifications and quality, and consequently the company has managed to enter the international markets through all levels, as our exports have reached 80% of our products for the markets of Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Since our country had and still has such unique geographical location, as a connection point on the Silk Road, being famous for its textile industries, and due to our ambition to be in the zenith, we have established Bitar Carpets Company relying on our long experience in yarns industry and our deeply rooted experience in the field. We have started with selecting the most modern textile machines for carpets from VAN DE WIELE Company, automatic preparation lines from Sellers British Company and mechanical preparation finishing lines from Tanke Belgian Company, combined with very accurate selection of the company technical and administrative staff, and consequently the company managed, within a short period of time, to be ranked as the first top company in Syria, which made it the center of focus, and an ideal example for all other competitors.
